Join us on Monday, May 4 at 6:30pm for an evening discussing all things Heartland Rock with Erin Osman, author of Won't Back Down: Heartland Rock and the Fight for America, in conversation with Maggie Smith!


Erin Osmon is a music journalist, critic, and author of books on John Prine and Jason Molina. Her writing appears in the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Rolling Stone, and others. She won the Deems Taylor/Virgil Thompson Award for album notes in 2023 and several LA Press Club Southern California Journalism awards. She lives in Nashville.

Maggie Smith is the New York Times bestselling author of nine books of poetry and prose, including A Suit or a Suitcase, You Could Make This Place Beautiful, Good Bones, and Dear Writer. An NEA fellow and Pushcart Prize winner, Smith has been published in the New York Times, New Yorker, The Paris Review, The Nation, The Atlantic, and The Best American Poetry.
