We are excited to be one of nine bookstores nationwide hosting a midnight release party for bestselling author Haruki Murakami’s new novel, ‘The City and Its Uncertain Walls.’ The party is on Monday, November 18th from 10pm-Midnight and will take place in-store at Prologue Bookshop at 841 N High Street.
Books will be available at 12am sharp!

This is Haruki Murakami’s first full length novel in six years, making this a highly anticipated release for Murakami fans and the literary world alike.
Prologue Bookshop will have Murakami-themed trivia, a photo booth, themed giveaways, refreshments, and, of course, ‘The City and Its Uncertain Walls’ available for purchase starting at midnight. Those who pre-order the novel or purchase it at the release party will receive a limited edition art card while supplies last.
The event is free to attend but RSVP is required. You can select a free RSVP, or purchase your book at this time.
Haruki Murakami is a best-selling Japanese writer. His works of fiction and nonfiction have garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the Franz Kafka Prize, the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award, and the Jerusalem Prize, among others. Murakami's fiction is humorous and surreal, focusing on themes of alienation and loneliness. He is considered an important figure in postmodern literature. The Guardian praised Murakami as "among the world's greatest living novelists" for his works and achievements.
